According to requirements from "Guidelines for Eliminating Over-capacity from the State Council", "Suggestions for Iron and Steel Industry to Eliminate Over-capacity, Get Rid of Difficulties and Realize Development from the State Council" and "Notice for Issuing Implementation Measures of Capacity Transfer in Iron and Steel Industry from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology", Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. released and sought public opinions for the capacity transfer adjustment plan of #3 blast furnace project. The, 1.10 million tons of iron-making capacity of the 1,280-cubic-meter blast furnace of Shanghai Meishan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which was the cancelled project in the original transfer plan, would be replaced equivalently by the remaining iron-making capacity of the 2,200-cubic-meter blast furnace of Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., and the other parts of the plan saw no adjustments. The period of publicity is from July 5 to July 30, 2021.
