Nippon Seisen records decline of 11.2% in stainless steel wire rod average monthly sales of FY2020

The combined performance report released by Nippon Seisen Co., Ltd. showed that its stainless steel wire rod sales dropped by about 2.3% year on year to about JPY34.11 billion (USD0.31 billion) in Fiscal Year 2020 (from April 2020 to March 2021) due to the decline in sales in the first half of the fiscal year.
According to the report, the company's average monthly sales of stainless steel wire rod decreased by about 11.2% year on year to 2,891 tons, reaching the lowest level of recent fiscal years and going downward for three consecutive years. In particular, the average monthly sales in the second half of the fiscal year stayed at 3,268 tons, rising by about 30% from the first half and standing slightly higher than Fiscal Year 2019. The sales volume fell by about 4.5% to about JPY28.05 billion (USD0.25 billion) in this fiscal year, showing a downtrend for the second consecutive year.
