India extends valid term of anti-dumping measures on hot-rolled flat products from China

On June 29, 2021, the tax bureau of the Ministry of Finance of India announced to extend the term of validity of anti-dumping measures on hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating or imported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia to December 15, 2021.
On April 11, 2016, India launched an anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating or imported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia. On May 11, 2017, the tax bureau of the Ministry of Finance of India announced to levy anti-dumping tariff on involved products from abovementioned countries by means of minimum prices. The minimum prices for Chinese products were USD489-561/t . This measure came into effect on August 8, 2016 and will expire on August 8, 2021 . On March 31, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that in response to the application submitted by Indian Steel Association, India planned to conduct first sunset review of anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating or imported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia . The involved products were hot-rolled coils with the width of no more than 2,100mm and the thickness of no more than 25mm and hot-rolled plates with the width of no more than 4,950mm and the thickness of no more than 150mm . The involved Indian customs codes were 7208, 7211, 7225 and 7226 . The involved products didn't include hot-rolled plates, hot-rolled galvanized sheets and clad steel of stainless steel or electrogalvanizing.
