China exports 3.54 million tons of plates in May

The latest data from the General Administration of Customs show that in May 2021, China exported 3.54 million tons of steel plates, an increase of 43.6% year-on-year; the cumulative exports from January to May reached 20.25 million tons, up by 31.7% against a year ago.
In May, China exported 510,000 tons of steel bars, down by 25.6% year-on-year; the cumulative exports from January to May were 4.74 million tons, up by 33.3% year-on-year.
