Global crude stainless steel production up by 24.7% YoY and 2.7% MoM in Q1

According to the statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) on June 8th, the global crude stainless steel production reached approximately 14.51 million tons in the first quarter of 2021, up by about 24.7% YoY and 2.7% MoM.
The output in Europe recorded nearly 1.91 million tons, up by about 5.3% YoY and 11.0% MoM; that in the United States was about 0.62 million tons, down by about 0.4% YoY while up by about 9.7% MoM; and that in Chinese Mainland posted nearly 8.20 million tons, up by about 36.9% YoY but down by about 0.5% MoM.
