Yunhai Special Metals recently announced that it has absorbed Baosteel Metal Co., Ltd. as one of its strategic shareholders, expecting this move not only to enable them to co-share resources and find more new clients, but also to achieve in-depth technical cooperation between them and to expand Mg-Al alloy applications into more industries.
Yunhai Special Metals has a product portfolio of Mg alloy, Al alloy, strontium metal, intermediate alloy, and highly processed Mg-Al articles. The company has an existing production capacity of 100,000t of magnesium ingot, 180,000t of magnesium alloy, 300,000t of aluminum alloy and 3,000t of strontium metal, as well as a magnesium die-casting capacity of 25,000t and an aluminum extrusion capacity of 50,000t.
