Shanxi to accelerate removal of coke ovens with height of 4.3m

The General Office of Shanxi Provincial Government issued a Notice on May 13th on Issuing Action Plan to Improve Air Quality in Shanxi in 2021.
According to the notice, source control will be strengthened. Coke industry shall stimulate enterprises to carry out production capacity replacement and build large, advanced projects with high capacities of environmental protection and energy conservation on the basis that the existing production capacity can only be allowed to decrease instead of increasing. In addition, structural pollution will be rectified and the efforts of removing coke ovens with the height of 4.3m in carbonization chambers should be accelerated.
