CISA: Major steel mills' average daily steel products output records 2.07 million tons in mid-March

According to the data released by China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), major steel mills totally produced about 20.76 million tons of steel products in mid-March and recorded an average daily output of about 2.07 million tons of steel products in this period, down by 1.44% month on month but up by 19.07% year on year.
In this ten-day period, major steel mills held stocks of about 17.51 million tons of steel products, down by 375,000 tons of 2.10% from the previous ten-day period and down by about 2.32 million tons or 11.68% from the same period of last year. The figure increased by about 1.10 million tons or 6.69% from the end of February and rose by about 5.89 million tons or 50.67% from the beginning of 2021.
