Guangdong Jieyang detains about 5,600t of substandard steel products

On March 17, the Internet Information Office of Jieyang officially released an announcement again on the substandard steel products produced, sold or purchased by enterprises in Jieyang, which was exposed by CCTV on March 15 evening party. The office noted that 27 criminal suspects were arrested, four workshop for substandard steel products production were sealed up and about 5,600t of substandard steel products was detained.
At the same time, the Administration of Market Regulation of Jieyang swiftly launched a special inspection and rectification action by a sweep covering all rebar producers and sellers. It also conducted a random inspection on 10 enterprises that have production licenses. The administration got 25 batches of samples and sent them to Jieyang Institute of Quality Inspection and Metrology for inspection.
