Zunyi Tianci Manganese to cut manganese flake production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Mar 21 - Guizhou Zunyi Tianci Manganese Industry Co., one of major Chinese manganese flake producers in China, plan to shut down one production line on March 17th. Their output would move down to about 4,100t in March and would resume the production on April 5th, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
A source from the company stated, "We would shut down one production line on March 17th for equipment maintenance and our output would move down to about 4,100t in March, we would resume the production on April 5th." They totally had four production lines for manganese flake 99.7%min production. They would possibly accept the price as low as RMB15,900/t (USD1,430/t) EXW D/P for manganese flake 99.7%min at present, in line with last week. As most suppliers hold the prices firm now, they expect that the prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min would show uptrend in the following week.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 65,000t of manganese flake 99.7%min, expects to produce about 4,100t this month, compared to about 4,500t from last month. They produced about 11,000t so far in 2021. They are holding no stocks now, the same as the end of last month. They produced about 45,700t totally in 2020.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min stand at RMB15,900-16,100/t (USD2,465-2,496/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from last week.
