On March 1, a centralized signing ceremony for iron and steel industry chain projects was held in Luoyuan County, and 21 large metallurgical building materials and stainless steel upstream and downstream projects were signed, with a total investment of about RMB35.4 billion (USD5.48 billion).
It is reported that 21 projects involve many fields of the iron and steel industry chain, including secondary industry projects such as capacity expansion and technological transformation of iron and steel enterprises, downstream deep processing of steel products, application of metallurgical building materials and production of iron and steel metallurgical raw materials, as well as tertiary industry projects such as steel storage and trading, logistics and transportation, industrial tourism and skill training base.
The high-end special steel new material base project is invested and constructed by China Baowu Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB10 billion (USD1.55 billion). Based on the existing scale of Baosteel Desheng, a 3.22 million ton high-quality stainless steel project will be built in Luoyuanwan.
Fujian Baotai cold rolling 1.1 million tons project is mainly invested by Wuxi Xinsanzhou Special Steel Co., Ltd., with a total investment of about RMB3.5 billion (USD0.54 billion). With the help of Baosteel Desheng's advantages in hot rolling raw materials, it carries out on-site deep processing of high-end stainless steel cold rolling and upgrading of high-quality products. After the project is put into commercial operation, the production capacity can reach 1.1 million tons, and the total output value will exceed RMB10 billion (USD1.55 billion).
Minguang high quality steel base project invested by Fujian Sansteel (Group) Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB10 billion (USD1.55 billion), uses Minguang steel H-beam as raw material to carry out intensive processing, enhance the added value of products and create high quality steel.
