Guangxi Xin-Manganese Group to resume manganese flake production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Mar 21 - Guangxi Xin-Manganese Group Co., one of major manganese flake producers in China, plans to resume the production for manganese flake 99.7%min on March 4th, and the company expects to produce about 3,500t this month, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
A source from the company disclosed that they stop production for manganese flake 99.7%min on February 4th for equipment maintenance. Their output moved down to about 560t last month. "We plan to resume the production for manganese flake 99.7%min on March 4th and expect to produce about 3,500t this month," the source said, adding that they had six production lines totally for manganese flake 99.7%min production. They would possibly accept the price as low as RMB16,100/t (USD2,487/t) EXW D/P for manganese flake 99.7%min for the regular clients now. As most suppliers hold their prices firm at present, they predict that the prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min would stay stable within this week.
Based on an annual production capacity of 80,000t of manganese flake 99.7%min, the producer expects to produce about 3,500t this month, compared to about 560t last month. The producer is holding no stocks now, unchanged MoM. They produced about 39,300t in 2020 and around 4,460t so far in 2021.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min stand at RMB16,000-16,200/t (USD2,472-2,503/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from last week.
