NBS: Crude steel output adjusted to 1.065 billion tons in 2020

According to the "Statistical Communique of the People's Republic of China on National Economic and Social Development in 2020" issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on February 28, China's crude steel output would be adjusted from 1.053 billion tons to 1.065 billion tons in 2020.
The "Communique" shows that in 2020, the added value of the country's ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 6.7% from the previous year. In 2020, China's crude steel output recorded 1.065 billion tons, an increase of 7.0% compared to the previous year; steel products output was 1.325 billion tons, up by 10% year-on-year.
In 2020, China exported 53.67 million tons of steel products, down by 16.5% from the previous year; it imported 20.23 million tons of steel products, an increase of 64.4% year-on-year.
