1. Market Highlights
As most brown fused alumina producers in Henan resumed production after dismissed air pollution control, the market saw stable prices by late of January.
Given the suspension of Chinese white fused alumina, the market saw tight supply this month. Thus, the prices of Chinese white fused alumina remained flat in January.
Due to the tight supply of brown fused alumina in domestic market, the export suppliers lifted the prices. Therefore, the export prices of Chinese brown fused alumina increased in December.
On account of the tight supply due to the suspension in domestic market, Chinese export suppliers raised the prices. Therefore, the export prices of Chinese white fused alumina moved up this month.
In spite of the resuming demand, the suppliers in India held the prices firm. Therefore, the prices of brown fused alumina in India remained unchanged this month. In Europe, the prices of brown fused alumina and white fused alumina stayed stable.
