On January 26, the third special railway into Fangchenggang was officially put into operation.
As the largest port in western China, Fangchenggang is a large logistics platform linking China and ASEAN and serving the Western China. Every year, more than 100 million tons of important livelihood materials such as iron ore, coal and chemical fertilizer from home and abroad are transferred in Fangchenggang.
The 1.6-kilometer line, which will be connected to the national network through the Nanfang Railway and Liqin Railway, is expected to transport 39 million tons of goods in 2025 and 56 million tons in 2035, raising the average daily transportation capacity of Fangchenggang Railway Station from the current 37 pairs to about 70 pairs.
