Canada launches anti-dumping and countervailing mid-term review investigation on carbon steel fasteners from China

On January 25, 2021, the Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) issued an announcement to launch an anti-dumping and countervailing mid-term review investigation on carbon steel fasteners originating in or imported from China, so as to re-determine the normal value and export price of the products from Robertson Inc. (Jiaxing) involved in the case. This case involves products under Canadian tax codes 7318.11.00.00, 7318.12.00.00, 7318.14.00.00, 7318.15.00.10 and 7318.15.00.49.
On April 28, 2004, Canada launched an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on carbon steel fasteners originating in or imported from China, and an anti-dumping investigation on carbon steel fasteners from Taiwan region. On January 7, 2005, the International Trade Court of Canada began to formally levy anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties on the products involved in the case in China and anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case in Taiwan region. On September 2, 2020, the International Trade Court of Canada issued an announcement to make the third affirmative final determination of industrial injury of both anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review for Chinese carbon steel fasteners, and the third affirmative final determination of industrial injury of anti-dumping sunset review for products involved in the case in Taiwan region.
