Henan to carry out restructuring and equipment upsizing in iron and steel industry

On the morning of 18 January, the governor of Henan Province gave a government work report at the fourth session of the 13th people's congress of Henan, pointing out that Henan will promote industry transformation and upgrading and accelerate replacing old facilities with new ones in 2021.
According to the report, Henan will speed up transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, promote green, production-reducing and quality-improving development of iron and steel, aluminum processing, coal chemical, cement, coal power and other industries, carry out restructuring and equipment upsizing in iron and steel industry with the production capacity standing at around 30 million tons, arrange lead-zinc high-end processing projects in a reasonable manner and adamantly shut down outdated production facilities.
