China's largest hot-rolled sheet heat treatment line goes into commercial production

On 15 January, LY Steel's high-strength steel 9-2# drawing furnace constructed by WISDRI, the world's longest plate roller hearth heat treatment furnace, successfully turned out steel.
Consisting of one 400,000-ton-per-annum sheet line and two 260,000-ton-per-annum heat treatment lines, LY Steel's high-strength steel project is the largest hot-rolled sheet heat treatment line in China at present. The completion of the project will help LY Steel break technological barriers of foreign suppliers and conquer process problems in the field of extra thin wear-resistant steel, achieve stable production and application of the highest-level NM600 from NM300, and lead the low-carbon and light-weight new trend of commercial vehicles.
