China Tin Group increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Dec 20 - Guangxi China Tin Group, one of major tin ingot producers in South China, increases tin ingot 99.95%min production by about 900t month on month in December, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
"We scale up production in December to finish the annual production task and increase tin ingot output to around 1,500t," the source said, adding that their tin ingot 99.95%min output declined by a half in November compared to the planned level due to smelting equipment breakdown.
The company produces tin concentrate 40%min with its own mine and owns one Ausmelt furnace with an annual production capacity of 20,000t. They totally produced around 10,000t of tin ingot in 2019 and only about 600t in November 2020. They record an output of about 1,500t in December and hold no stock for the time being.
On Tuesday, mainstream prices for tin ingot 99.95%min were RMB151,000-153,000/t (USD23,124-23,430/t) in Chinese market, down by RMB500/t (USD76.57/t) from Monday. In view of scarce market deals and firm quotations of producers this week, tin ingot prices are expected to remain relatively stable in the following week.
