Ministry of Ecology and Environment issues Emission Standards for Air Pollutants from Iron & Steel Sintering and Pellet Industry

Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China announced that in order to improve ecological environment and prevent environmental pollution according to the Environmental Protection Law of China and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of China, it approved Air Pollutant Emission Standard in Foundry Industry (the Standard) as the national pollutant discharge standard and approved the revision of Emission Standard in Inorganic Chemical Industry (GB31573-2015), which would be jointly issued by Ministry of Ecology and Environment and State Administration for Market Regulation.
According to law provisions, the standards (including the revision) have compulsory enforcement force. The Standard would be implemented from January 1, 2021, and the revised standard would be implemented one month after the date of publication.
