1. Market Highlights
As most brown fused alumina producers in Henan suspended production due to the air pollution control, the market saw tight supply this month. The prices of refractory grade brown fused alumina increased but the abrasive grade remained unchanged in November.
Due to the stable prices of raw material alumina, Chinese white fused alumina suppliers kept the prices stable in November. Thus, the prices of Chinese white fused alumina remained flat in November.
Given that the stable prices of brown fused alumina in domestic market and devalued USD, the export traders lifted the prices to ensure the profit. Therefore, the export prices of Chinese brown fused alumina increased in November.
Although the domestic prices of white fused alumina kept stable, the export suppliers lifted the export prices due to devalued USD. Therefore, the export prices of Chinese white fused alumina moved up this month.
In spite of the resuming demand, the suppliers in India held the prices stable. Therefore, the prices of brown fused alumina in India remained flat this month. In Europe, the prices of brown fused alumina and white fused alumina kept stable although the demand resumed gradually.
