Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed different trends during this month. Prices of 304 grade stainless CRC and HRC, 300 series stainless bar and 304 grade stainless seamless pipe saw a downward trend during the month due to weak demand and the decrease in steel mills' list prices, while those of 201 grade stainless CRC and HRC, and 430 grade stainless CRC went up mainly supported by the low market inventory and the increase in steel mills' list prices. As customers were still purchasing materials for urgent need, the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying.
