Dajingzi Tin receives SHFE registered brand approval for Huanggang brand tin ingot

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Dec 20 - Inner Mongolia Dajingzi Tin Industry Co., Ltd., one of major tin ingot 99.95%min producers in North China, received the approval for tin ingot delivery brand from Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), approving the registration of Huanggang brand tin ingot produced by the company at SHFE.
"We received SHFE's approval yesterday, giving a green light to futures delivery of our tin ingot brand," a source from the company said, adding that they took approximately three years to get the approval after submitting registration application, conducting equipment upgrading, accepting sampling inspection and experiencing other steps. The company records a steady production at present and mainly sells its product to downstream consumers in North China and East China.
With its own mine and dressing plant, the company produces around 50 metal tons of tin concentrate 40%min on a monthly basis and purchases tin concentrate 60%min from external parties to make up the shortfall, for the production of Huanggang brand tin ingot. Owning three electric furnaces of 1,250kVA and an annual production capacity of 10,000t of tin ingot, they totally produced about 5,000t in 2019 and about 4,500t in the first eleven months of 2020. They expect to produce about 400t of tin ingot in December, in line with the previous month.
Huanggang brand tin ingot is the eighth tin delivery brand registered at SHFE after YT brand, Jinhai brand, Yunheng brand, Yunxiang brand, Feidie brand, Zhenwei brand and YS brand.
On Thursday, mainstream prices for tin ingot 99.95%min were RMB149,000-151,000/t (USD22,771-23,076/t), up by RMB1,000/t (USD153/t) from Wednesday.
