Xiangtan closes and rectifies 15 substandard mines

Xiangtan emergency management agency stated that Xiangtan city inspected 16 major hidden dangers, closed 6 illegal coal mines which did not meet the safety production requirements and ordered 9 mines to shut down for rectification through coal mine safety production regulation this year.
In recent years, following the withdrawal of coal mines, Xiangtan city promoted the closure of 81 non-coal mines that did not meet the safety production requirements through comprehensive regulation of non-coal mines and special rectification actions. The mining of underground gypsum, underground iron ore, underground lead-zinc, small and medium-sized underground manganese ore and open kaolin was completely eliminated, more than 130 illegal mining mines were banned, and a large number of hidden dangers affecting production safety were rectified.
