Data released by the General Administration of Customs showed that in the first 11 months of 2020, the total import and export value of China's foreign trade reached 29
From January to September, the cumulative growth rate of China's foreign trade turned from negative to positive for the first time this year, with a year-on-year increase of 0.7% . From January to October, foreign trade growth rose to 1 . 1% and continued to expand entering November.
The import and export value of China's foreign trade rose by 7.8% to 3 . 09 trillion yuan (0 . 47 trillion US dollars) in November . The export value posted 1 . 8 trillion yuan (0 . 27 trillion US dollars), up by 14 . 9%, and the import value was 1 . 29 trillion yuan (0 . 20 trillion US dollars), down by 0 . 8% . The rapid growth of exports impelled the overall growth of foreign trade.
In the first 11 months, China's export value totaled 16.13 trillion yuan (2 . 47 trillion US dollars), up by 3 . 7%; the import value recorded 12 . 91 trillion yuan (1 . 97 trillion US dollars), a decrease of 0 . 5%; and the trade surplus was 3 . 22 trillion yuan (0 . 49 trillion US dollars), up by 24 . 6%.
