1. Market Highlights
Encouraged by the relatively tight supply and increased raw materials' prices, CRC mainstream prices in Chinese major markets rebounded by around RMB350/t (USD54/t) in November. Supported by the demand recovery from downstream industries, HGI coil prices in major markets climbed up more than CRC prices did at the same time. Steel mills showed more intention to hike prices further on rising production cost. More and more market participants began to remain cautious about the coming market. However, steel mills gained more confidence in raising export prices due to the firm demand from overseas market.
In the international market, CRC and HGI coil prices in many Asian countries including Malaysia, Vietnam and India continued move up this month upon increased production cost and demand recovery.
