CISA to seek public opinion on steel mills finishing extra low emission transformation

According to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), China will implement assessment and certification on steel mills finishing extra low emission transformation and seek public opinion at the website of CISA.
Recent statistics of CISA showed that the extra low emission transformation was accelerated in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster, Fenhe-Weihe Plain and the Yangtze River Delta. Based on preliminary estimate, the production capacity undergoing extra low emission transformation accounted for approximately 30%.
In accordance with comments on extra low emission of iron and steel industry released by relevant national authorities, iron and steel producers in key regions are required to finish transformation of about 60% production capacity by the end of 2020 and finish over 80% by the end of 2025.
