China's manufacturing PMI reaches 51.4% in Oct

According to National Bureau of Statistics, China's manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) was 51.4% in October, slightly down by 0.1% from the previous month, indicating that the overall manufacturing industry has continued to pick up, as it kept continuously above the critical point since March.
In terms of enterprise scale, the PMI of large-sized enterprise was 52.6%, up slightly by 0.1% from the previous month; that of medium-sized enterprise was 50.6%, down slightly by 0.1% from the previous month; that of small-sized enterprise was 49.4%, down by 0.7% from the previous month.
Among the five sub-indices composing manufacturing PMI, production index, new orders index and supplier distribution time index were higher than the threshold, while raw material inventory index and employment index were lower than the threshold.
