Tangshan works out targeted pollution control programs for 11 steel mills

In order to further reduce the flue gas and pollutant emission of steel mills, the office of Tangshan air pollution prevention and control leading group worked out programs for 11 steel mills located less than 25km from the downtown respectively, realizing targeted control on steel mills.
After such programs are carried out, these 11 steel mills may cut iron melt production, exhaust gas emission at main points, particulate matter of whole plant, sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxides by about 32.8%, 24.8%, 25.2%, 35.3% and 35.5% respectively.
