DRC Pumpi project designed by China ENFI produces first batch of copper cathode

The Pumpi copper and cobalt project operated by Lamikal SA, which is partially owned by Wanbao Mining, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) produced its first batch of copper cathode on September 13
The project is located in the southern part of DRC's Lualaba province. China ENFI was contracted to design the project, including the mining site, dressing plant, smelter and associated programs . The project has a designed annual mining and dressing capacity of 2 . 6 million tonnes of ore, and has the capacity to produce 45,000tpy of copper cathode and 5,000tpy of cobalt in cobalt hydroxide, and other byproducts.
