HBIS Group Tangsteel puts new plant into commercial production

On 7 September, No.1 blast furnace of 2,922 cubic meters was ignited at the production commencement ceremony of HBIS Group Tangsteel's new plant. Commercial production of the new plant marked a critical breakthrough in location adjustment of Hebei iron and steel industry.
The new plant is located in Laoting Economic Development Zone, Tangshan. According to planning and design of the new plant, high-end steel will account for 87% and 76% of hot-rolled production and cold-rolled production respectively. Tangsteel will target high-end products and high-end customers in accordance with the high-quality production differentiation strategy made by HBIS Group.
Meanwhile, the new plant set up 12 profession laboratories and introduced more than 280 high-end detection and analysis equipment to establish first-rate national auto sheet laboratories, which can meet research detection and certification need of all types and specifications of auto sheet.
