Tianyuan Manganese Industry completes launching first stage silicomanganese production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Aug 20 – Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co., Ltd. a new silicomanganese producer in West China with production capacity of 300,000t, would complete launching the first stage production at the end of August, with the output of about 8,000t in September.
The company started commercial production at the end of August and released the first batch of silicomanganese products on September 1st. They plan to put the entire plant into production with three stages and maintain two submerged arc furnaces of 30,000kVA for silicomanganese production every stage. "We finished heating the submerged arc furnaces on August 20th and would complete launching the first stage production at the end of August. We expect to produce about 8,000t in September," said a source from the company, expecting that they would start the second stage production at the end of September and the third stage production at the end of October.
With an annual production capacity of 300,000t of silicomanganese 65/17, the company has six submerged arc furnaces of 30,000kVA for silicomanganese production. They would use their own Ghanaian mine 25% as raw materials for production.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese silicomanganese 65/17 stand at RMB6,000-6,200/t (USD858-887/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from last week.
