Seven departments jointly release action plan for regulating charging of shipping ports

According to the news released by the official website of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on 4 August, NDRC, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Commerce, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, General Administration of Customs and State Administration for Market Regulation did research and worked out the "action plan for regulating charging of shipping ports" and released recently in order to implement decisions of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council, regulate charging of shipping ports, optimize business environment, relieve burdens of import and export enterprises and promote trade facilitation.
By 2022, a scientific, standard and transparent charging mechanism will be basically set up, resulting in further increased port service efficiency, significantly improved business environment and notably declined import and export compliance cost. Major tasks include improving port charging policies further, setting up shipping port charging cost supervision and investigation system, guiding standard charging activities of shipping companies, strengthening charging supervision on shipping and freight agents, and the like.
