Yieh United Steel raises sales price of stainless steel in August

Driven by the rise of international nickel price and imported hot-rolled stainless steel product price, Yieh United Steel, a leading stainless steel factory in Taiwan, announced on July 30 that it would increase the domestic and foreign sales price of stainless steel in August. In domestic market, the price of 300 series hot or cold rolled stainless steel products goes up by TWD2,500/t (USD85.14/t), while 316 stainless steel product prices keep stable and so do 430 products excluding nickel; in overseas market, 300 series product prices move up by USD80-100/t subject to the region, and 316 stainless steel product prices are unchanged, and 430 series product prices move up by USD30/t. This is the fourth consecutive month that Yieh United Steel has raised the price of 300 series products since May, with the increase of domestic sales price by TWD6,500/t (USD221/t) for four months.
