Shanxi to construct first cadmium telluride production line in North China

It is said that Yangtai Longyan's cadmium telluride film photovoltaic industry base project had completed debugging. This is an emerging technology industry project that was introduced by Yangcheng of Jincheng in Shanxi. After officially starting production, the project could produce 1,000 pieces of film per day and will become the first cadmium telluride film battery components production line in North China.
With the total investment of RMB550 million (USD78.49 million), the project was jointly constructed by Yangtai Group Jingxin Coal Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Longyan Technology Co., Ltd. and Jincheng Chaoneng Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. The construction will be divided into two phases, which mainly consists of the development and production of cadmium telluride film battery components and the application of photovoltaic power generation system. The designed annual capacity is 80MW. Once the construction is completed, the project would achieve the sales revenue of about RMB340 million (USD48.52 million) and create profit and tax of RMB80 million (USD11.42 million).
