Japan's steel exports fall by 17.7% YOY in May

Japan's steel exports in May were 2.501 million tons, down by 17.7% YOY, according to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF).
In the same month, the export volume of ordinary steel products in Japan was 1.632 million tons, down by 1.4% YOY; the export volume of special steel products was 422,600 tons, down by 22.5% YOY.
From January to May of this year, Japan exported a total of 14.648 million tons of steel products, an increase of 9.5% over the same period last year.
