Hebei issues a special action plan for digital transformation of steel industry

Approved by the government of Hebei, the Development and Reform Commission of Hebei officially issued "Special Action Plan for Digital Transformation of Iron and Steel Industry in Hebei (2020-2022)". The action plan aims to promote the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry, speed up high-quality development of the industry and expedite the building of a province strong in steel.
The action plan clarified the following main goals. By 2022, the steel industry will achieve breakthroughs in digital transformation. The industry will widely collect data resources, demonstrate and promote data applications and apparently improve data security capability. There will be a new layout for the digital development of iron and steel industry, which is supported by big data, digital workshops, whole process smart manufacturing and industrial cloud platform. The labor productivity of the main industries will rise to more than 1,000t per person per year. Key enterprises such as Shougang Qian'an and HBIS Group Shisteel will become the national leading demonstration enterprises in the digital transformation of steel industry.
