Hubei strengthens exploration of scarce strategic mineral resources

Hubei Geological Bureau has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Geological Survey Wuhan Geological Survey Center to strengthen the exploration and evaluation of dominant and scarce strategic mineral resources in Hunan and pull the subsequent commercial exploration and development, providing resource guarantee for the development of new material industry cluster and the upgrading of traditional industries such as iron and steel, non-ferrous materials.
According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen the mineral survey, exploitation demonstration and concentrate technology for niobium, tantalum, lithium, rubidium, rare earth, etc. in Zhushan-Zhuxi, Yunyang-YunXi and Tongshan-Tongcheng regions, strengthen studies on ore replacement and resource utilization of copper, iron and gold in the southeastern mineralization of Hubei and strive for a major national project for deep exploration, and strengthen the investigation and exploration demonstration of graphite, fluorspar, barite, gold, manganese and other minerals in Yichang-Enshi and Xiangsui-Xiaohuang regions and strive to find a batch of new mineral deposits.
