Huawei to construct photoelectron research and production base in U.K.

On 25 June (local time), Huawei formally announced that the first phase planning of its Cambridge park was approved. The project will focus on research and production of photoelectron.
Located in the central part of Cambridge Science Park, Huawei Cambridge park with a planned area of 9 acres will have a construction area of 50,000 square meters and an investment of GBP1 billion (USD1.24 billion). After completion, it will be the overseas headquarters of Huawei's photoelectron business. The first phase project will focus on research and production of optical devices and transceivers.
