Shanxi Jianlong Steel signs trusteeship management agreement for Wenshui Haiwei Iron and Steel

On 17 June, 2020, Wenshui county government and Shanxi Jianlong Group held the signing ceremony for operation and production resumption as well as trusteeship management of Haiwei Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
Founded in September, 1985, Wenshui Haiwei Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is an iron and steel producer integrating ironmaking, steelmaking, steel rolling and power generation. The company halted production in November 2018 to conduct environmental protection facility upgrading project, which was brought to a halt in May 2019 after actual controller of the company was detained, and has been out of production.
In accordance with legalization and marketization principles, Wenshui county government set up an expert term by engaging legal, iron and steel as well as finance professionals and carried out investigation, consultation, negotiation and assessment strictly according to related procedures. Finally, the government selected Shanxi Jianlong Group for operation and production resumption as well as trusteeship management of Haiwei Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and formally signed the project cooperation framework agreement and trusteeship management agreement with the company.
Next, Wenshui country will accelerate promoting operation and production resumption as well as trusteeship management of Haiwei Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. The handover will be finished before the end of June and then the trustee will begin to make preparations for production resumption. Before 1 December, the plant will formally go into production.
