HBIS Group Wusteel produces large single weight super-thick Cr-Mo steel plate

On June 3, HBIS Group Wusteel won the steel plate order of Guangdong Petrochemical's heavy crude oil processing project with a capacity of 20 million tons per year. The project is a joint venture of China and Venezuelan, an oil refining project with disposable design and the largest capacity. The largest thickness of the Cr-Mo steel provided by HBIS Group Wusteel for this project reached 172mm and the single weight reached 49.58t. The thickness and single weight of the steel plate was the largest among the same type of steel plates in China respectively, which means that China has broken the monopoly of foreign countries and could produce this type of steel plates for petroleum industry.
