Shandong steel industry to complete transformation for ultra-low emission by late October

On June 5, the Information Office of Shandong Government held a press conference to introduce the Eco-Environment Bulletin in Shandong in 2019.
Zhang Jinzhi, Director of the atmospheric environment department of Shandong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, said that the province will strictly implement national and local standards for the discharge of air pollutants, focusing on ultra-low emissions transformation of the entire process of the steel industry, comprehensive improvement of industrial furnaces and stricter treatment of VOCs, and strengthen the governance of industrial pollution. By the end of October, the steel industry will complete the upgrading of all production links to achieve ultra-low emissions in the whole process of organized emission, unorganized emission and transportation.
