Bosnian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Zenica ceased production after its workers went on strike against decision of the company's management to send most employees on temporary leave.
"We have halted production," the head of the company's trade union, Zuhdija Kapetanovic said. According to unofficial information, 80 percent of the workers were sent on hold.
The steelmaker has an annual production capacity of some 1 million tonnes. In 2014, it was the biggest exporter in Bosnia.
