Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 28 announced that the national non-working period will be extended until May 11.
Putin ordered the government to prepare by May 5 a plan for the gradual lifting of restrictions related to COVID-19 from May 12. He said these recommendations would take into account the outbreak situation in order to provide criteria or index for lifting restrictions, and federal agencies would have a week to prepare, with some regions continuing to impose or even tighten restrictions while others could phase out quarantine and resume work.
He also ordered the government to prepare a package of measures to support the economy and the livelihood of Russian citizens.
