On April 8, under the supervision of Lianyungang Customs affiliated to Nanjing Customs, 188.6 tons of solid wastes prohibited by the state were returned out of Lianyungang port.
The solid waste returned this time is imported by an enterprise from a country in Southeast Asia, and the declared product name is "nickel concentrate". During the inspection, the customs found that there was a big difference between the goods and nickel concentrate, so they immediately decided to take samples for inspection. According to the appraisal of the industrial products center of Nanjing Customs, the batch of "nickel concentrate" is actually a solid waste prohibited by the state for the treatment of sediment by nickel electroplating solution. The customs shall hand them over to the anti smuggling department for handling according to the requirements, and the relevant enterprises shall be ordered to return the goods. On April 8, all the solid wastes were returned to the country.
