South Africa extends national lockdown for two weeks

South African President Ramaphosa announced on April 9 that the nationwide lockdown, which was originally expected to end on April 17, will be extended for two weeks; during the lockdown, some industries might be approved to resume operation under strict restriction measures, in order to help national economy recover in a phased way.
