Changting Golden Dragon's NdFeB component supporting surface processing expansion project gets EIA approval

On 2 April, Longyan Bureau of Ecology and Environment released the announcement about environment impact assessment (EIA) approval, including the 2,500-ton-per-annum NdFeB component supporting surface processing expansion project of Fujian Changting Golden Dragon Rare-Earth Co., Ltd.
Located in Fujian Longyan Rare Earth Industrial Park, the expansion project will be carried out on the basis of current 2,500-ton magnetic materials component surface processing project, including a 600-ton-per-annum full-automatic galvanizing production line, a 900-ton-per-annum full-automatic electrophoresis production line, a 900-ton-per-annum full-automatic spraying production line, a 200-ton-per-annum full-automatic vacuum plating production line, a 1,500-ton-per-annum grinding production line as well as supporting facilities and utilities. Upon completion of the expansion, the project will have an annual NdFeB magnet and NdFeB component surface processing capacity of 5,100 tons, up by the previous level of 2,500 tons. The total investment is RMB11.30 million (USD1.60 million), including RMB2.25 million (USD0.32 million) for environmental protection.
