Luoping Zinc & Electricity to lease water-quenched slag production line to Bosheng Technology

Luoping Zinc & Electricity announced on March 16 that, in order to solve the issue of slag produced in its zinc ingot production, the company will lease its water-quenched slag production line to Yunnan Bosheng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (Bosheng Technology); Bosheng Technology will use sulfur reduction technology to process the slag to produce fly ash in line with government and industrial requirements, and by selling the produced fly ash to downstream industries, the company can achieve maxim recycling and utilization of resources. Both sides has agreed on the annual lease rate of RMB1.12 million (USD0.16 million) which will be paid in two tranches in a year.
Luoping Zinc & Electricity's water-quenched slag production line is an environmental protection facility. Its construction commenced in August 2018 with a total investment of about RMB11.078 million (USD1.57 million), with a further investment of RMB3 million (USD0.42 million) to be added.
