China temporarily lowers government pricing port operation and service charge standards

On 6 March, Ministry of Transport and National Development and Reform Commission jointly released the "notice about temporarily lowering port charge standards and other issues"
. According to the notice, China lowers the government pricing harbor dues and port facility security charge by 20% respectively, with which port enterprises may reduce the burden of goods owners by RMB380 million (USD54 . 64 million), and cancels mandatory emergency response service and charges for non-oil-tanker cargo vessels . Meanwhile, China also encourages local governments to expand preferential policy on charges during the epidemic control and prevention period.
