Jingye Group starts capacity reduction transfer project

On March 2, Jingye Group started its iron and steel equipment upgrading and transformation project.
The total investment on the project was RMB4.77 billion (USD688 million). According to capacity reduction transfer requirements, the project will build two sintering machines of 260 square meters, a grate rotary pelletizing kiln with an annual output of 2 million tons, three blast furnaces of 1,500 cubic meters and a converter of 150t. The capacity transfer and upgrading can help reduce 997,500t of iron-making capacity and 400,000t of steel-making capacity.
